Chopper Spirals Wildly into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Beach
An aircraft soaring near a popular southern California beach suddenly commenced twirling uncontrollably, ultimately dropping height and crashing into a cluster of palm groves as beachgoers watched.
Videos shared on social media depict the chopper beginning to twirl near the shoreline then descending in the direction of the perimeter of the beach, where it becomes wedged between palm groves and a steps adjacent to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Information
Local firefighters stated five individuals were rushed to the hospital including two who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the crash on the weekend.
Three individuals on the pavement were harmed. Information on their condition were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.
