Paramount Skydance Set to Cut Approximately 2,000 American Positions – News
Paramount Skydance plans to initiate large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 positions in the United States under a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.
The layoffs come after the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August worth $8.4bn.
Further overseas workforce reductions are expected, with Paramount Skydance aiming to disclose all specifics via its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.
Earlier reports suggested the company planned to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 roles by early November.
By December 2024, the organization had nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 temporary project employees.
The organization did not immediately respond on the matter.
